May 2, 9, 16 & 23, Thursday Mornings.
May is coming. It's hot. Let's make some landscapes… In the studio! We love landscape drawings and paintings, but we don't always love the experience of creating them outside in challenging conditions. Join us in a nice, climate-controlled studio as we learn about the pros and cons of creating landscapes from photographs.
Develop landscapes that glow with bold contrast and luminous color. Create an illusion of foliage using visual textures and negative space. Develop an understanding of how to use atmospheric perspective, edges, and temperature to create depth. Explore how to use design choices within your composition to create a visual path or emphasis. Learn a variety of tips you can use to create beautiful landscapes in the medium of your choice!
