Whether you're looking to get started or deepen your understanding of the pastel medium, you'll learn the techniques needed to capture the ever-changing nature of the sky, from soft, wispy clouds to dramatic storm clouds, all in the rich, vibrant colors
If you are new to pastel, no experience is needed. We'll explore atmospheric effects, light, and color, that will bring the fleeting beauty of your cloud formations to life!

Format: Lecture & demonstration, studio practice with individual feedback or one-on-one instruction.
Level: No experience necessary. Absolute beginner, beginner to intermediate, all levels are welcome!
Medium: Pastel Medium, which may include soft pastels, hard pastels, conté crayons, PanPastels®, or pastel or conté pencils, any are welcome!
Techniques: How to layer colors, blend and build texture to create realistic or expressive clouds that align with your own asthetics. You'll also be introduced various techniques, tools, and surfaces that work well with medium.
Materials: All materials will be provided. If you have any pastels or pastel pencils bring what you already have.
